Dear Gratitude Journal :

When old, white, rich Republican men tell me that misogyny is just a “feeling” that women have (when they’re on their periods), I’m grateful that I’m no longer filled with a desire to choke the living shit outta them. Now, I’m filled with a strange, warm, ambivalent sadness for their SAD! cultural precept, Incel status, and gratitude that I date younger men.

Dear Gratitude Journal :

Today I’m grateful just to be me. I know I’m too complicated for most people – people like easy – but nothing worthwhile is ever easy. I’m grateful I can sense other people thoughts and energies. And, I’m grateful that my time is billable, especially because my boss’s time is not.

Dear Gratitude Journal :

I have had a lot to think about this week – both personally and professionally – and I’m grateful I’ve yet to come to any conclusions. I do know that I’m a big glass of Scotch, intoxicating to all but not exactly everyone’s taste. This week, I was reminded that lots of people think Scotch is gross, and there’s not a damn thing I can do about it except not be Scotch – and who would want a bar without Scotch? I’m grateful my cleaning lady comes on Friday. There’s nothing better than coming home to the smell of bleach and a clean house. And I’m grateful to have the doors open to the cool evening air.

Dear Gratitude Journal :

My gig before this one was brain dead easy; this one has challenged me in ways I never thought I would encounter. And while I am proud of myself and grateful for the growth, like Goldilocks, I hope my next project is just right. I’m grateful my neighbors rescued a little dog. I wanted to get EB his own dog (now that he’s responsible enough), but now I don’t have to…. They saved a dog. Her son will have a cool, little buddy. EB has a friend, and I have a dog sitter. So much gratitude when you adopt a pet.

The end.

The Journey Begins…

Thank you for following my Gratitude Journal. I hope you are reminded of all the things you are grateful for…
