Dear Gratitude Journal :

I know I speak for everyone when I say that I’m very, very grateful for a peaceful day. I’m grateful to have Trump banned from — and his Bots scanned from — social media. You want to be a bad-ass and overthrow the government? Don’t expect the government you’re trying to overthrow to GAF about your “right” to Twitter. I’m grateful for the FBI – never thought I’d be sayin’ that – and, despite it all, I’m grateful for social media. It’s shown the best and the worst of us. I’m determined to focus on the good stuff.

Today, I gratefully removed myself from Trump’s Twitter followers. #irrelevant No doubt Jack Dorsey will remove him permanently in January. I’m grateful for the optimism that is permeating the atmosphere. And, I’m grateful for real journalism…almost as important as “real” votes.

With so much sickness and death, I feel almost ashamed to express gratitude for how lucky I am in this moment, but I suppose this is the time for all of us to remember how much we have. I’m grateful stores have better self checkouts. The fewer people who touch my stuff the better. I’m grateful hardware stores are open. Its important for the people in the trades to work, and for people to be able to fix things. And, I’m grateful for my government.
