I’m grateful for Solstice. It’s two of my favorite days each year, and the winter one is always welcome even in mild climates. I’m grateful I planned ahead for my holiday staycation. I am looking forward to a week of spa, reading, lunch and non-software related conversations. And, I’m grateful my life is moving from infrastructure to enhancements. Finally.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
This a bit of dreary time of year for me. Cold, dark, missing people who aren’t here anymore. Thinking about when time(s) were simpler, and when more of my life was ahead of me, not behind me – like it is now. It makes me grateful for all the Christmas lights. They are cheerful, and even the little decorations make the dark days – literally – brighter. I’m grateful for the retrogrades, and the time to reflect. There’s stuff I’m not going to bring with me into 2023…buh-bye. And, I’m grateful I’ve been able to line up a few people to do work at the house. My dream for 2023 is to live in a place where nothing is broken, damaged, and every single thing works. Dream BIG!
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
This holiday week is all about being thankful, which is slightly different from gratitude, in that thankfulness is generally directed toward a person or event. So I’m thankful that I have some paid vacation. Most of my life I have not had those benefits and often needed to work on holidays, so a few days off without worrying about a monthly shortfall is a real luxury. I’m thankful for my team. And, I’m grateful (and thankful) for bartenders. Isn’t everyone ?
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
This has been a very long week I’m grateful that I’m finally at a place in my career where I can confidently say no. No, I’m not going to do it for you. No, I’m not going to cover for you. No, I’m not going to work weekends for you. No is a sign of self respect and a healthy ego. I’m grateful for it…And, I’m grateful for carbs.
The end.

I’m grateful that I’m finally at a place in my life and my career where I can confidently say no. No, I’m not going to do it for you. No, I’m not going to cover for you. No, I’m not going to work weekends for you. No, I’m not going to fix it for you. No is a sign of self respect, a healthy ego, and the ability to set boundaries. I’m grateful I’m able to to it. And…..I’m grateful for carbs.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
Every living creature is grateful for the rain and the end of triple digit temps. I can feel the relief in the trees and plants and me. I’m grateful we are approaching solstice. With so many planets in retrograde, it seems the energy of reappraisal is very strong. And, I’m grateful for bartenders. The second oldest profession.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m feeling pretty good today; I’m grateful just for that. I’m grateful I decided suck it up and double-down on my handy-woman skills. I own lots of tools, know how to read, and can watch and follow a video. Being a good student does have advantages. Finally, I’m grateful to work from home. It’s not a perfect situation, but neither was being on site. I’m more productive and my life is better balanced. Maybe that’s why I’m having such a good day.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
Even though I’m goal driven, I’m grateful that I’m not a competitive person. People who always need to win have a hole in their aura that is impossible to fill, and they ruin the fun of the game for others. I’m grateful for chocolate chip cookies, especially if they’re homemade and not too sweet. And, I’m grateful for all the time I spent teaching. It taught me to facilitate discussion, and shut down hecklers and assorted other blowhards. Life skills.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for the burger I had for lunch. Not the usual faire, but definitely worth the 800 calories. I’m grateful I am one of the best stretchers in yoga class. Namaste. And, even though it happens, I’m grateful I wasn’t blowing farts during yoga like the woman behind me. That’ll teach you to drink a “nutrition” shake for lunch.
