Dear Gratitude Journal :

I’m grateful for the past few days of cold weather, hail, rain, and thunder. The outside world is scrubbed, shiny, and invigorated. I’m grateful that I’ve been able to attend several academic seminars this past week. It’s comforting to know there are really smart people studying stuff the rest of us don’t think about very much. The world needs liberal arts and humanities majors, too. And, I’m grateful for technology. For all it’s evils, none of us would really give it up.
