The first rain of the season is always a time of gratitude in California. The rain began softly this morning, giving the hard Adobe earth a little preparation for larger droplets. The patter of the rain on the steel pergola is very comforting, and I’m grateful to have the windows open and be in a warm, dry house with a secure tile roof.
Finally, I’m grateful all the trees, shrubs and plants are getting a much needed shower. Plants grow immediately after a good rain, and I can already see the change.
