I’m grateful the Pacific Ocean is able to provide some small amount of cloud cover and cool breezes. I’m grateful I’ve spent years working on other people’s crappy software. And, I’m grateful for BI dashboards. The accountability tool.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful I still have a progressive mind and generous heart. I see too many people let those qualities slip away as they grow older. I’m grateful I’m finally getting off sugar. It’s everywhere. And, I’m grateful for readers. It’s much more important to be a reader than a writer.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for a few days focused on the here and now. It’s easy to be distracted, but happiness is everywhere if you take a second to experience it. I’m grateful that the days of others taking credit for my work are over. And I’m grateful that I realize that nothing is ever really about me.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful that I’ve lived long enough to know that every “bad” thing that happens is actually a good thing. I’m grateful I play the long game. And, I’m grateful that while I’ve become less judgmental, I’ve also become less tolerant. You can’t go through life with catcher’s mitts on both hands; sometimes you need to throw shit back.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
There’s a lot to be grateful for today. For most of my life, I took the right to vote for granted. I don’t anymore. And, I’m grateful to those who died for us to have that right, and grateful to those who continue to fight for us to have a voice. I’m grateful I’ve spent more time asking, “Why?” It’s given me clarity of purpose. And, I’m grateful to get back on the diet train. Overindulging isn’t as fun as it used to be.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m definitely grateful I got my shots and there’s enough data to say I can ditch my mask. I’m not sure I’ll be doing it completely though. There is something disgusting about a whole bunch of people breathing on your fruit and food. Maybe that should stay. I’m grateful I got paid on Friday. It’s given me the strength to go on. And, I’m grateful that I’ve been able to attend a multitude of professional events in sweats and no bra. That’s real liberation.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m so grateful that we are crushing Covid in California! You can feel the energy and optimism everywhere you go. I’m grateful I own tools. Seems the more tools you own, the less you like to use them, though. And, I’m grateful I will work from home forever. When I think of all the time I spent driving back and forth, the makeup, the clothes, the lunches, the gas, the bras….What would I have been able to accomplish without all that crap?
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
Getting my second Pfizer shot this week filled me with enormous gratitude for every single person who helped create, deliver, and administer these shots to hundreds of millions of people. We are so lucky to live in this rich country with the money and resources for this effort. My heart breaks for India, Brazil, and other places struggling with lack during this horrible pandemic. I’m grateful I didn’t have to work this week because the shot made me quite tired, and it was good that I had time off to sleep. And, I’m grateful for this Sunday, the beginning of May. A fresh week, fresh month, another chance to get it right.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful my stomach has adjusted to my new diet. Next week will be easier. I made some big decisions today, and I’m grateful for the sense of peace I feel. Not so much because I’m sure they’re right, but because if they aren’t, I know that I’ll be able to deal with that just as easily. I suppose I should be more grateful for that. And I’m grateful for sneakers.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
These past days have been filled with distressing news. Huge problems are why I need simple gratitude, and I suspect why Voltaire encouraged us to till our garden. I’m grateful for my TV. It really is an amazing invention. I’m grateful for YouTube. My go-to source for research on how-to-do anything and everything. And, I’m grateful for my ice maker. Everyone is grateful for ice.
