I’m grateful that I’m an active millennial supporter. People used to roll their eyes, begrudge me my youth, and dismiss me in my salad days. In many ways, I’m not much smarter now than I was then. In those condescending moments, I would swear to myself that I would not act the same to the youngsters when my “boomer” time came, and I’ve been true to my word. Finally, I’m grateful for fried chicken. Of all the chickens, it’s the most beloved.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful I had time to return to a longer hike. I’m definitely sore, but I feel good. I’m grateful the day was cool and the hillsides are blooming with mustard, paintbrush, and yarrow. And, I’m grateful for my garden. Few things are more satisfying than growing your own food.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful that I got a lot of exercise today. I’m grateful for my expert road trip travel skills, and I’m grateful for shrimp. It used to be special occasion food. Now, it’s lunch on Tuesday food.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for a warm, cloudy, and unusually quiet day. I’m grateful for soup. It is good food. And, I’m grateful for cookie season.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful I’ve exercised some restraint when it comes to cosmetic procedures. California is filled with custom faces, constructed bodies, and even though mine is quite imperfect, I’m okay with it being more out-of-the-box, so to speak …. 🙂 I’m grateful I live near the mountains. In times of crisis, no one yells, “Run for the valley!” and I’m grateful for roasted chicken. It’s always a good dinner.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
Most people are grateful for Friday eve. It’s tuff to get into the swing after a long weekend. I’m grateful Christmas lights are all around town. And, I’m grateful to feel that we are slowly, surely, and finally moving out of the muddy rut that has been this year.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
Gratitude is about acknowledging what was received, whereas thankfulness is about giving and receiving. So, in that vein, I’m thankful for my co-workers and clients. I’m thankful for my health, and all the medical personnel I’ve needed to keep this body going. And, finally, I’m thankful for my neighbors. There is nothing more comforting than knowing your home is surrounded by really good people.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful that I am smart enough to know that I cannot change people’s thoughts and feelings, so I focus on changing their behavior. I’m beginning to see that not everyone can make that distinction. I’m grateful that today was warm and sunny. I know it’s only a short time before the cold of winter sets in. And, I’m grateful that very few things upset me anymore. I don’t know if it’s because IDGAF, or if it’s it because nothing really matters anyway. But either way, it’s good.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
Today is a day that I have to dig down deep for my gratitude toward change. That space between where you were and where you’re going can seem gray and overwhelming. I’m grateful for the free things in life, like sunshine and sunsets, and lemon with your iced tea. And, I’m grateful for my intuition, which grows ever stronger.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful that I finished a big chunk of work today. It was extra work, so everyone is impressed and left very happy. I’m grateful for garbage collection. How lucky are we that someone comes to our house to take trash away. All we do is put it at the curb. Amazing. And I’m grateful that love is a verb. You never run out of it, and you can always make more.
