My mammogram came back normal. Always grateful for that. I’m grateful I was able to spend time with a friend who I haven’t seen in 30 years. Much Champagne and a few tears. A wonderful day. And, I’m grateful I was out at daybreak to catch the mountains at sunrise – an Ansel Adams moment. Getting up early has a lot of rewards.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful that I’ll have a good night’s sleep before my marathon meetings tomorrow. Telling people that their work is shitty and sloppy is difficult and stressful, and an artform one never quite masters. I’m grateful for liquid Echinacea. I used to not be a believer, but I am now. And, I’m grateful for YouTube because without it, I won’t be able to program my sprinklers.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for Barbara Walters. The first night she started with Harry Reasoner, I recall my father saying that “No one is going to listen to news from a woman,” and even though I was still a kid, it was the moment that I realized that my life was going to be different because of my gender. I’m grateful for my warm house, and beautiful neighborhood, and for the work of women like RBG – I wouldn’t be in this house without her. And, I’m grateful I sucked it up yesterday and got all my errands and chores done. I’m ready for the new year/

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful to live in California. People bitch about it until they watch the rest of the country drown in snow. I’ll gladly pay my taxes to live here. I’m grateful for my Reiki healer. I think if more people used healers, we’d have fewer problems in the world. And, I’m grateful NYE falls on a weekend.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
This has been a very long week I’m grateful that I’m finally at a place in my career where I can confidently say no. No, I’m not going to do it for you. No, I’m not going to cover for you. No, I’m not going to work weekends for you. No is a sign of self respect and a healthy ego. I’m grateful for it…And, I’m grateful for carbs.
The end.

No, I’m not going to work weekends for you. No, I’m not going to fix it for you. No is a sign of self respect, a healthy ego, and the ability to set boundaries. I’m grateful I’m able to to it. And…..I’m grateful for carbs.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
Every living creature is grateful for the rain and the end of triple digit temps. I can feel the relief in the trees and plants and me. I’m grateful we are approaching solstice. With so many planets in retrograde, it seems the energy of reappraisal is very strong. And, I’m grateful for bartenders. The second oldest profession.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for the burger I had for lunch. Not the usual faire, but definitely worth the 800 calories. I’m grateful I am one of the best stretchers in yoga class. Namaste. And, even though it happens, I’m grateful I wasn’t blowing farts during yoga like the woman behind me. That’ll teach you to drink a “nutrition” shake for lunch.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
It’s easy to talk about leading an authentic life and being true to yourself when things are going well, and everyone loves you. It’s not quite as easy when you aren’t in the zone, and you find yourself on the outside of the “In” crowd being judged and dismissed. So, tonight, I’m grateful for resilience. I’m grateful I’ve always been slightly ahead of the curve, left of center, out in front….And, I’m grateful for bread. I rarely eat it anymore, but damn, it IS good!
