Dear Gratitude Journal :

I have planted trees almost everywhere I have lived. Mostly fruit trees. Too often, I’ve moved and literally never reap the fruits of my tree planting labor, but I’m grateful others will benefit from these trees.

I’m grateful my last few days of driving were uneventful. I’m grateful for people who know about cars, and I’m grateful for AC. It’s been a hot one.

Life before Covid seems like a million years ago. I feel like I am finally moving from the messy middle into the path forward. I’m grateful for that. I’m grateful for a day spent doing some very difficult editing. It’s good practice. And, I’m grateful for fruit. A good piece is one of the best things in life.
