Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for art, art lovers and patrons. The world needs artists; we have enough lawyers, MBAs, and English majors. I’m grateful for the soft blue haze that hangs over the city softening the edges of concrete and glass. And, I’m grateful that life has finally provided a view from above not below. It’s nice here.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful that the previous owner installed one of those flexible restaurant faucets in the kitchen. I never had one before, but I’ll always have one now. I’m grateful for a lazy day. I’m not good at doing nothing, but every once in a while it’s nice to be a slug. And I’m grateful for texting. Drunk or sober, its nice to know people love you.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for dentists and dental hygienists. With world would be a toothless mess without them. I’m grateful I was able to accomplish all my chores and errands on time and without complication. Not as easily done as in times past. And, I’m grateful for people who pick up the check.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for people who work in construction. Digging holes, carrying rocks, and mixing concrete is really hard work, and I’m grateful that I don’t have to do work like that for a living. I’m also grateful that I’m strong enough to easily put a 60-pound bag of mortar into my truck. If I weren’t, I’d probably still be at Home Depot.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
This is a short week. End of the quarter. The energy is odd. Mercury is in retrograde. Many people are sick. Even more are unemployed. It’s hard to be optimistic when problems are so big, and you are so little. I suppose I’m grateful that I’ve come to accept that it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when, I get Covid. I’m grateful that I’m healthy, and that I have medical insurance (for now). I’m grateful the library has reopened. And, I’m grateful for backyard fruit.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
Today, I was reminded – again – that I’m a big glass of Scotch in a Vodka world. I’m grateful that I realize Scotch is an acquired taste. And, even though there are times that I wished I were more accessible or more universally desirable, I still never met a woman I wanted to be, and I’m very grateful that I’m not like anyone else.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
It was a grey, cloudy day…the first in some time. So, I was grateful for the change. Quiet and somber, it’s as if the universe knows that there’s only a few more months left to accomplish our New Year’s resolutions to lose weight and save money. I’m grateful I worked late this week. I feel significantly less stressed. And, I’m grateful I still believe in love. I only hope that love still believes in me.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for Amazon Prime’s amazing fulfillment process, and for all those drivers who bring stuff right to my door. What an amazing world. I’m very grateful I bought a nice plyer and wrench set last year. Sometimes you just need a vise grip.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful that the yoga pants I bought two months ago are too big now. I’m grateful for the delicious pizza I had tonight to celebrate my smaller butt, and I’m grateful I understand the expression, “Sick as a dog,” without having to experience it first hand.
