Dear Gratitude Journal :

I’ve been working for almost 40 years now, and I’ve had both clients and employers ask, insist, and threaten me to do things for them that were illegal. In more than one case, the refusal cost me my job. So, as I sit in my beautiful home, free to do anything I desire, I’m grateful that my integrity means more to me than money or some shitty job. I’m grateful that my name will never be listed as “defendant.” And, I’m grateful for frozen pizza. Yeah, I they’re not as good as fresh, but we’ve all eaten ’em.

The end.

Dear Gratitude Journal :

I’m grateful for a quiet Monday and another beautiful California day. I’m grateful that I’ve continued to exercise patience with cyclists who ride on the sidewalk and pedestrians who walk in the street, and I’m grateful for pizza; it never disappoints.

The end.
