I’m grateful for Ted Talks. I’ve been watching a lot more of them this year on a whole variety of topics. It’s opened my eyes to a number of things I never considered before like UBI, and the ethics of AI. I’m grateful I work at home. Social isolation notwithstanding, I don’t want to spend most of my life living with my co-workers. They’re not your loved ones. And, I’m grateful for the sunshine and soft, warm breeze.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
There isn’t anyone who is having a typical Christmas, myself included. Times like this, I find myself grateful for things I normally wouldn’t even see. I’m grateful that so many healthcare workers have gotten their first shot. I know they feel a huge sense of relief. I do, too. I’m grateful for people in the hospitality business. People who cook, people who make drinks, people who bring you things….they are so important to our economy and our quality of life, and this has been the most difficult year for them. I’m grateful my neighbor gave me some homemade toffee. Nom. I’m grateful another neighbor recommended an additional loop to my AM power walk. That way I can keep trying to out-exercise my ridiculous sweet tooth. And, I’m grateful that I am safe, warm, happy, healthy, and have everything I could need or want. The best of times in the worst of times.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
With wind and fire a constant now, I’m grateful for Twitter alerts. I’m grateful to have a lazy weekend. Not my regular routine, but a nice change. And, I’m grateful for my espresso machine. Between that and the plug-in car, I’d be hard pressed to say which one is the greater money saver.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for webinars. I’ve attended a bunch this year. It’s considerably easier than being there IRL, and I’m considerably more informed. I’m grateful I love to create order out of chaos. And, I’m grateful that supermarkets sell individual servings of cake.

Dear Gratitude Journal
I’m grateful to all the #FedEx and #UPS people who have been working on this vaccine deployment. It’s a tremendous logistical effort, and we are fortunate to have two of the best companies in the world to help us. I’m grateful for pansies. A surprisingly resilient flower. And, I’m grateful for Mondays. Another fresh start, another week to try to get it right.

Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for the karma that brought me to California. Never have I regretted my decision to live here. I’m grateful for a few days away from the computer and from work. I enjoy my profession, but sometimes I just need it to stop. And, I’m grateful for on-line recipes and recipe books. I don’t follow them very often (like most people) but, like vacation brochures, they’re just nice to browse.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for my education. No one regrets their grad degree. I’m grateful for white vinegar. It’s cheap, and you can use it for a thousand things. And, I’m grateful I’m a cheerful and considerate person. Happiness is definitely a choice.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for the truth. It does set you free, even if that means you fall flat on your face. I’m grateful that perception is always subjective. I’ve come to accept that sliver in my eye affects my vision. I need to remind myself that others have that sliver in their eye as well. And, I’m grateful that I’ve failed so many times that I no longer fear it. Life is a roulette table. Your number will come up.
The end.
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for debit cards. Cash is such a hassle, and I can’t do math in my head, so I would be one of those people who would need to put stuff stuff back, which is annoying and embarrassing. I’m grateful the baby boom generation is retiring. And, I’m grateful I took my lunch hour to do chores and some cleaning. Nothing makes you feel better than the faint smell of PineSol in your kitchen.
The end
Dear Gratitude Journal :
I’m grateful for a crystal clear, cool California day. A beautiful day – perfect weather – is free, and we all enjoy it the same. I’m grateful that despite the pandemic, race wars, and horrific politics, we have all grown more compassionate, and are much better at dealing with disappointment and change than we were a year ago. And, I’m grateful that I have a healthy relationship with money. Money is a commodity, but so is time, tranquility, and love. Balance in all things.
